Fire Stop Party Wall Batts
Constructed from mineral wool technology, Fire Stop Party Wall Batts are designed to provide fire protection in party or separating wall constructions between adjacent tenancies. Fire Stop Party Wall Batts are installed between the top of a party wall and the roofing membrane (in Class 1 and 10 buildings) to provide excellent fire resistance at high temperatures. When installed correctly, Fire Stop Party Wall Batts can achieve a 2 hour CSIRO fire rating thereby preventing the transfer of fire into an adjoining occupancy.
All Fire Stop insulation must be installed as per the architectural specification or system specific test description. In a Class 1 and 10 building, Fire Stop Party Walls Batts should be being compression fitted (with a minimum of 15% compression) between the top of the fire rated party wall and the roofing membrane leaving no voids.
